Nursing Director (RN's and MSN's)

POSTSECONDARY PROPRIETARY SCHOOL

The Nursing Director will provide input into the budget process. Maintain communication with central administration and other units of the controlling agency, faculty, students, clinical agencies, and the board; (Providing for regular meetings of the faculty to facilitate communication and faculty participation in planning, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum). Implementing an orientation process for new faculty. Recommending faculty for appointment, promotion, tenure or retention, and termination. Facilitating faculty development, including enhancing educational competencies. Establishing the faculty/student ratio for laboratory experiences to ensure the safe delivery of nursing care by students and faculty. Ensuring a written policy related to the evaluation of faculty and instructional personnel is in place and implementing the policy as written; and Certifying to the board, in a format prescribed by the board, for each student who is an applicant for licensure.

Candidate Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• Prior experience managing a Nursing Program in an educational setting.
